Breathe Together

There is a lot happening to black and brown bodies in our world. The pain can feel never-ending, and sometimes it feels like we're drifting further away from a sense of sovereignty and true liberation of body, mind, and soul. When we experience pain and grief, it's easy to ignore the signals our body sends us to meet our basic needs or to numb out and shut down completely.

I have decided to create a FREE space for black, brown, and indigenous bodies to come together, connect, and heal through embodiment, breathwork, and meditation. We will gather to celebrate, not only our resilience, but also our ability to thrive in the face of adversity. We will honor the richness that being black, brown, and indigenous has brought into our lives and its impact on our world. We will honor our collective fight for freedom, equity, and equality. And we will reclaim our birthright that is joy, pleasure, and thriving.

All of us are navigating through the system of white supremacy, and often our hearts, souls, and bodies bear the weight of this system. My intention is to provide a space where we can all find peace in a world that feels anything but peaceful.

This is an opportunity for you to connect with yourself and the collective because we must all work towards liberation together.

About Your Guide

Hello, I'm Justine Aksoy, and I'll be your guide during our community gatherings. I am deeply passionate about supporting other humans in their embodiment journey, especially humans of color & culture. My commitment to holding space allows you to come home to yourself. It is my intention that after our time together, you will feel equipped with tools that will allow you to call your heart and body home.

My intention for our time together is to contemplate what it means to be in a body of color & culture during this time on the planet, what it means to be in a body that often feels perpetually unsafe, how to walk powerfully in a body that oftentimes feels like it is in harm's way. And how to feel free in a body that often feels like its sovereignty is constantly being taken away.

This is something for us to contemplate as a community because our freedom is interconnected. Our sovereignty is interconnected. Our liberation is interconnected.

I can't wait to breathe together. I can't wait to come into our bodies together. I can't wait to meditate together. Together, we are powerful. Together, we can change the course of our world.

Join me, and let's be the change we desperately want to see and the change we desperately need.
